Flirty Apron Giveaway!!

Oh my Gosh, Oh my Gosh, Oh my Gosh!!!  I have been wanting a adorable little apron for the little pumpkin, to match Mommy (I have three that I LOVE).  When I cook, Nik always likes to help in the kitchen. She likes to stir, use the kitchen utensils, play with all the bowls/pots and pans/dishes, baking goods, and she loves to put the oven mits on her hands. It's too cute.  She knows not to touch the oven, she will hold her hand by it, and in a hushed whisper say, "Hot, Hot."  I am always nervous to cook around her because of all the acccidents that can happen, but I can't get her to leave my side, when Daddys's not home. And, if she's not by my side in the kitchen getting to everything, then she's somewhere where I CAN'T SEE HER AND GETTING IN TO EVERYTHING!!  Like, pulling my camera off the dining room table by the strap (which I never would have thought was within her reach) or flushing my curler picks down the toliet or putting eyeliner/lipliner on the wall, etc.  Little things like that, that I try and avoid happening, ha ha!

I am IN LOVE with these aprons.  There are so many adorable aprons to choose from, but I think I like this one the best for the little pumpkin, or rather, little cupcake...

How cute would we be together with these on?
What a cute photo op, baking cupcakes, with us in our aprons and spatulas, ha!

Head on over to Tay's and check it out!!  And check out their website for yourself FLIRTY .

Surprise...

Yesterday Nik and I met Daddy at the office and we followed him home.  We pulled in the driveway behind Daddy, and Nik and I got out of the car. Hubs was on a business call in the car, so Nik and I headed to the door together.  As I approached the door, I saw this big package, and I thought to myself, "What did the Hubs buy now, Ha!"  I said, "Look, Nik, we got a package."  I stepped onto the porch and looked down at the delivery address and see that it's addressed to ME. I didn't recognize the return address, so I was at a loss as to who it was from.

I had in the past couple months bought a few things for Nik, so I was trying to figure out if I forgot about something...I then signed up to receive newsletters for something and they sent me an educational Disney DVD for Nik, so I then wondered if it was from them.  Hubs also said that he bought me a gift the other day, but he never gave it to me, so I'm thinking maybe it's from him. I know he's just over in the car, so I'm hesitant to open it unless it's a gift from him, but I figured he wouldn't put my name on it bc he'd want to give it to me, so I figure I'm okay to open it. I lean down and Nik is right by my side, and I rip the tape on the package. There is a lot of bubble wrap in the package, but I see pink tissue and a gift bag inside, and I get a little giddiness in my gut at what it might be...

I take the bag out, and I am trying to figure out if a fellow blogger sent this persoanlly to me, bc I can't think what it might be or who it's possibly from. I open the card, and it says, this...

I couldn't believe it, and wasn't really sure what was going on or what was inside.
I take out the tissue and I see that inside is this...

All these thoughts are rushing through my head as I am trying to put this together. As you remember, I blogged about a giveaway at The Undomestic Mama, and I remember, I was so disapointed that I didn't win.  And, I am feeling like a kid at Christmas coming home to this fabulous, wonderful, amazing, incredible gift on my doorstep,so unexpected!

I was just humbled. Truly humbled. You should have seen me on the porch jumping up and down, waving at the hubs in the car, who is still talking on the phone. He and the neighbors must have thought I was a crazy person, going on like this.  Nik immediately grabbed a bottle, and she did not want to let go, I had to gently coax it away from her.  Hubs comes up, and I have to ask him if this was my surprise gift? Did he read my blog, and decide to surprise me, and try and act like he had nothing to do with it, bc that is something he might do, and Hubs is shaking his head saying, no, he bought me a book (which depending on the book, I might be equally excited about, hee hee).  I was in such shock that I had to ask him several times. I couldn't believe how blessed I was to be receiving this generous gift.

After Nik went to bed, hubs and I were so excited to look at the products.  He was asking about all the products and putting cream on his face, and at first I thought it was cute, then, I said to hubs, "Babe, it's not like Jergens, you can't just puts globs of it on, ha"  I said, "You have to use tiny bits so it lasts, it's a quality product, so a little bit goes a long way."  Hubs gave in.

A tiny detail I LOVED was the tag.  I thought it was so cute!

I took a shower last night and used the

My face breaks out a little around that time (which is now, ugh!).  The little bumps just kind of lie under my skin, and itch, but never really surface.  Obviously still visible though, and it kind of makes me conscientious.  Last night I took a warm shower before bed and put this cream on.  This morning, it seems as though my pimples are less noticeable, and my overall skin color appears much better.  My skin is SO SOFT. I am in love with how soft my skin is.  People must think I am crazy at work, sitting at my desk rubbing my face, ha!

I also used this

I applied this around my eyes, and smile lines and Immediately after I put this on, I could feel the cream tingling, so you know it is working.  The area this morning, feels softer, smoother, and maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like it noticeably looks better!

I know I feel better about myself because I feel like I am taking better care of my skin, and giving it the vitamins and nutrients it so desperately craves.  You can see and feel the quality of their products.  It's one thing when you put lotion on your body, and your skin does feel less dry, and maybe a little sticky, if it's semi-nice lotion, it will leave it feeling pretty smooth. But I have never felt lotion that left your skin feeling this soft and cream that you can actually feel penetrating the surface of your skin.

I don't know if anyone else came home to one of these surprises yesterday too, but I am incredibly humbled and so grateful that I arrived home to find this generous gift.

Thank you Pevonia.

Love to all.

LABOR DAY!!!!!

It was beautiful this weekend, but kinda bordering on hot, I think it was just that the SUN felt extra, extra hot, not necessarily that it was HOT outside.  So, as you know, I have been having a difficult time sayng good-bye to Summer, since it is the pumpkin's first summer being 1, and she is SO MUCH FUN RIGHT NOW!
So, I decided that I was going to relish the last Indian Summer days and take my little pumpkin to the pool. I even went so far as to invite my sis-in-law and Nik's cousins to go with us, and then discovered that the local water park that my company owns closed after Labor day (snub nose).  Here Nik is in full Swim gear, me in full swim gear, bags/towels packed, big pink VW Bug car floatie in hand.  I then decided that the pumpkin and I would go to my parents country club (humprfh) instead.  Loaded the pumpkin in the car, drove over there, and TA DA, they are closed as well.

It was like a slap in the face!!  SUMMER OVER!!!!  I didn't try any more pools after that. Deciding, they had won-made a fool out of me.  Here I was thinking that I could make up for the fact that Nik and I had only been to the pool a handful of times by cramming all these Indiam Summer Pool days in before it's officially Fall, and WHAMMO, NADA, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!

Oh, my pumpkin, I'm so sorry. If I had known, I wish I had known.  I will make a promise to my next children that I will not have any more children until I am a SAHM, promise. Then, we can spends loads of days at the pool, relishing the summer days.  If that means Nik is an only child, than I guess so be it, That's it. It's like, you go all week long, and then when the weekend comes, I can barely get out the door much less plan a Pool Outing, and then there's time spent with family and cleaning and laundry and grocery shopping and errands and you then, you are just left wondering where the summer went.  And before you know it. THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE POOL OPEN AND YOU ARE DRIVING AROUND DRESSED IN SWIM GEAR WITH A BIG PINK VW BUG FLOATIE IN YOUR CAR AND NO POOL TO GO TO.

Yes, that was us. I felt like the Biggest Dufus. I felt like people were looking at us driving by with this BIG FLOATIE in the car thinking, what are you thinking SILLY GIRL. DO YOU HAVE MOMMY BRAIN???  There are NO POOLS OPEN AFTER LABOR DAY!!  DUH!!!

Thank goodness for "water parks" bc I found a local park with the cushy floors and pop-up water sprinkers sytems, etc, and I took Nik there instead. Hubs was like, just come back home, and I stated, no, a promise is a promise, and I said we were going to the pool, and this was the closest thing to it. I will not break my promise.  Nik ended up having a blast, and the local subdivision was having a huge party there, and there were HOARDS of kids all over going CRAZY!!  It was a little overwhelming, but Nik LOVED it!  She played in the water sprinkers, and I was asked to play in them as well, and she climbed all over the playground equiptment and slides. I don't have any pics bc it was just Nik and I, since Hubs was cleaning the Garage. BUT, it they happen to stay open a little longer (fingers crossed, that yesterday wasn't the last dayXX), I will def take Nik back so I can get some pics of her before they close for the year.

ON TO MONDAY...
The pumpkin screamed and cried, and threw a tantrum when I left her at daycare today. I am walking out, and my heart is breaking as I hear her Teacher trying to calm her down as I walk away.  And, I feel like, all I do is walk away from her, ALL THE TIME.  I am always turning my back on her.  I'm not sure what she thinks about it.  It only reaffirms for me that I refuse to have any more children until I can stay at home with them.  I will not go through this again, and I will not put another child through this.  I will not have my heart breaking over and over and over again anymore.  I will not have any more breakdowns in the car, tears streaming down my face on the way to work, like a lunatic.  I don't know how other Mommies do it.  I just can't do it anymore.  I just do not have that resolve and strength.  I will never forgive myself for it.

And, vending machine ate my animal crackers today, again, so grrrr, roar, ugh, blah to you Monday.  One day, I will love Mondays, one day. When all I have to worry about is food on the couch, crayon all the wall,  bumps on the head, yucky noses, a dirty house, burnt food, a crazy dog, and TONS AND TONS OF HUGS AND KISSES AND CUDDLES AND SNUGGLES from the pumpkin.

Hope your Monday is looking better than mine...Love to all.

Date Night!

Hubs and I watched this movie the other night. I have been excited for it to come out, and anticipating it.  I rushed to go get it, when it came out.  LOVE Redbox, can't beat a new release for a dollar, although Hubs and I are going to look into Netflix, I think though, bc Netflix ends up being more economical.

I liked this movie, and I def think it's worth watching. But, I do have to say, be prepared that the action scenes seemed to be a little long and drawn out for a romantic comedy(maybe I was just tired, but I am an action buff anyway, and they just seemed that way to me, although hubs didn't think so, he stated).  The movie didn't get very good reviews if that's something that helps you weigh watching movies or not.  One thing I can say is that the scenery alone, in Nice, France is BEAUTIFUL!!  I wish that the hubs and I could go there one day. The movie opened and you see the country side, and I immediately knew they were in Europe, hubs thought it was Cali. I know my European countryside.

Another point to make about this movie, is 1. I LOVE Katherine Heigl. 2. You kind of forget about Ashton Kutcher as an actor anyway, bc he rarely does movies, but when you see him again, you remember a. that he is a pretty good actor b. that he is really good at comedy and c. that he is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! and so charming. Literally he could charm the socks off you.  That song, "I may be a real bad boy, but baby I'm a real good man," comes to mind.  He has these little boy personality/looks where you just want to tell him to wash his hands before dinner, but at the same time you see him and there's no doubting that he's all man.

The movie is enjoyable, both actors are enjoyable, they are pretty good together, there were def some funny lines/moments. Some really cute moments.  I also enjoyed Tom Seleck and Catherine O'Hara as Jen's parents  Catherine, as Jen's mother, is a bit of a sophisticated alcoholic, but subtly, and humorously so.

Enjoy.

Almost Wordless Wednesday.

Just some random pics of the pumpkin from August.
I am going to miss summer.
It went by way to fast, I wish I could do it all over.
We didn't spend nearly enough time outside, savoring it all.
My baby's 1st summer as a 1 yr old.
Love you Baby Girl.
