Kenziepoo

I came upon this website, and fell in love with these headbands!
I am in love with Etsy, blogs, and the creativity I have seen.
We are on a budget, so I enlisted my mother's help, she notified me Friday, and the pumpkin's headbands are on their way as we speak. I will be sure to post pictures of the pumpkin as soon as they arrive. I can't wait!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!

Life's No Day at the Pool...Ok, well sometimes it is.

With Aunt Becca

Do we have time for a summer swim apparel photo shoot? Always.

College Bound

Auntie Jordie came to visit before heading back to Butler...We ordered Noodles and Co. (thanks Lyds :)

Nikolina tried to steal the rice krispie treat for dessert after some cereal...

"Yes, I can eat this whole rice krispie treat by myself, thank you very much!"

"Yeah, I love you, Auntie Jordie!"

"I think I may have to poo..."

"Yeah, me, I can, I can poo!"

Playing with her feet, I love it!!!

Don't Feed After Midnight...

It's been a while since I posted any photos of Nik. We started feeding her rice cereal a few weeks back. I had been putting it off, because I kept reading from sources like kellymom.com and the Academy of Pediatrics that you should wait until your little one is 6 months of age before feeding him/her solids, that babies should be exclusively breastfed/formula till 6 months of age: kellymom.com/nutrition/solids/delay-solids.html#reasons, and then at Nik's 4 Month check-up, Dr. Emm advised us, it was time to start. I was bound and determined to wait, even though, I could see that she was becoming interested: kellymom.com/nutrition/solids/solids-when.html#developmental. And, I have to admit, I secretly wanted/was very excited to move on to this step with her. Finally, I caved, and we started. The first time, I fed her, she took the spoon right out of my hand, and began to feed herself!!! She then tried to grab the whole bowl and eat directly out of the bowl, or maybe, just eat the bowl itself! Anyway, she absolutely loves it! I still worry, maybe we should have waited, but she so seems to enjoy it. I keep saying to Josh, I think she is ready for a Cheeseburger and Fries, the way she attacks the cereal--hence the title.

Is that a goatee, you're growing there, Nikolina?
Or are you Santa?

I feel like this could be an add for Gerber...

As you can see, we missed the mouth the first couple aims...

would you like some cereal??!!

Chunky Monkey??!!

Id

I created a Flikr (Photo Sharing) Account to store the plethora of photos I have the pumpkin that I haven't the heart to delete (even after I have stored to computer, made copies or put to disk). Josh commented at the rate I'm going, we will not have enough storage space to make it till Nikolina turns two, much less any future children. So, alas, I will have to delete them from the computer, but really just temporarily move them somewhere else-hence, Flickr.

I created a profile for myself, and realized that I had never really done so for the blog.

It's short, and very, in the moment, but I figured, it's a start. So here it is, here is me, now...

I am in love with my family: my husband-Joshua, our black Labrador-Diesel (Diez), and our new daughter, Nikolina Corrine. I love family, photography, and as of late, blissfully, everything to do with babies and children. My Cosmo and Victoria's Secret Catalogs have been replaced by Parents Magazine and American Baby!!! Ritzy baby stores and Victoria's Secret are what I imagine Heaven is like. I love bright colors, especially Hot Pink, Pink, Lime Green, and Turquoise-Blue. I adore anything polka-dot, especially the above colors with White, Black or Brown. I like all things girly, frilly, lacy, and sexy. I love ribbons and bows and creative picture frames. I love artistic creations, and hearing about other people's everyday life through words and photography. Lately, I love everything that bares my daughter's name. I love heels, handbags, the feel of soft fabric, and the smell of genuine leather. I feel sexy just walking into Victoria' s Secret and wearing the "right "perfume. I feel safest in my husband's arms. Music, smells, literature, and photography can transport me to another time and place. My favorite thing in the world is my daughter's smile...The most important thing to me in the world is helping her do just that!

Favorite Books & Authors:
Any baby book. Any girly book. Any Sophie Kinsella book. Any book by Nicholas Sparks. I also love mysteries and thrillers.

Favorite Movies, Stars & Directors:
The Philadelphia Story, Breakfast at Tiffany's. Katherine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn. Jennifer Aniston, Katherine Heigel and Isla Fisher. Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Matthew Mcconaughey, and Ed Harris. Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell.

Favorite Music & Artists:
Ryan Adams, Jack Johnson, The Fray, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flats, Carrie Underwood and everything Country!!!

I have a new picture of the pumpkin at the top, did you notice;)

I want to thank my very talented sister-in-law for taking the above photo and some other beautiful pictures of the pumpkin.

She has her own photography business, and she is super sweet, talented, and very reasonably priced. She does a beautiful job, and is a joy to work with.

See the link for her blog below.
